The concept for Pear Blossom was originated from the site’s history. When the area was mainly farm land there was a preponderance of pear orchards, and the abundant production of pear cider (perry). There is evidence for this even today with local street names eg. Perry Vale, Perry Rise etc. The shape and form of the pear blossom evolved, linking history with the delicacy of the flower itself.
